The UW GE CT Protocols – Showsite and Observation Program
is designed to provide radiologists, technologists, imaging specialists, and medical physicists with hands-on experience in the optimization of CT imaging protocols. Participants will have the opportunity to observe clinical best practices, interact with experts, and gain insights into the latest advancements in CT technology.
Program Overview
This program offers a structured observation experience at the University of Wisconsin, allowing participants to:
- Witness real-time clinical implementation of UW GE CT protocols.
- Engage with expert radiologists and technologists to discuss workflow and protocol efficiencies.
- Understand the impact of protocol optimization on image quality and radiation dose reduction.
- Observe advanced imaging techniques and patient care protocols in a live setting.
Process for Clinical Observation
The observation program follows a structured process to ensure an educational and efficient experience for attendees:
- Application and Registration: Interested professionals must complete an application form and receive approval to participate.
- Pre-Visit Orientation: A virtual orientation session will introduce attendees to UW GE CT protocol concepts and expectations for the visit.
- On-Site Observation: Participants will shadow expert technologists and radiologists to witness CT protocol implementation in clinical practice.
- Interactive Q&A Sessions: Dedicated time will be provided for attendees to discuss findings, ask questions, and gain further insights.
- Post-Observation Debrief: Attendees will receive resources and actionable recommendations to apply protocol optimizations in their own practices.
